Road trippin'

It was time to hit the road
and show Linda parts & pieces of what
Big Island has to offer.

Let's hit it!

To bad the rental decided to give us
a convertible for a cheaper price!

First we headed south...

A lil piece or Denmark in Hawaii..we like!

"South Point" is as south as you can come
on U.S land.

If you jump of the cliffs, you have about
12 meters of free fallin...

We slept in the car both nights...
The volcano didn't exactly keep us warm..
It was FREEZIN!

A storm passed Hawaii this weekend,
and you can say we definitely felt it...

Most of the roads were closed,
because of the big eruptions and gas
explosions the volcano has these days.

definitely brings the heat after a cold night!

The hot pool consists of saltwater coming
in from the ocean, but is heated from the
volcano under it.
Good for heart, body & soul ;)

When we arrived on the other side of the island,
we stepped into the rainforest!
On this side it rains every day...

Akaka Falls Park.

More north on the island, we went to
Waipio Valley.
Parts of "LOST" was filmed right here...

If you go down the valley,
you'll find Tarzan-swings, wild horses,
more waterfalls, starfruit fresh from the trees, rivers...

But the view is pretty sweet too.
